My "school" birthday

Today is my "school" birthday. It was awesome- even with ISTEP!

Here are some highlights:
Flowers and a balloon from the ladies in my hallway (notice the lovely paper covering the walls on our last ISTEP day)
Candy and a gift card.

My door was decorated.

I got a REAL card from a student.

A "Hey, it's Mrs. Szynal's birthday? Where's the closest piece of paper we can write on!?" card from a few students- still really sweet of them.
My coworkers brought in my favorite meal for everyone for lunch- everyone had chicken fingers! Yes, I am 5.
And cake, too!
More presents! An awesome sweatshirt and 2 scarves, boot cuffs and a gift card to my favorite boutique! (I seriously love that place!)

I seriously work with THE BEST PEOPLE!!! Thank you SO much!!!!!!! :) What a great day to be 30! (Well, almost)

  1. Happy Birthday! It is fun to celebrate in the school world and then the 'real' world. Here my birthday falls on Teachers' Day so they blend together, but at least my students know me well and there were extra rations of dark chocolate! (Your chicken fingers reminded me of how our eating habits are very visible at school.)
